On December the 14th, 2021, on line master class in English on the topic "Traditional food of Russian cuisine made from yeast dough" was organized in the laboratory of the Restaurant Service department for Finnish students and teachers of ESEDU College (Mikkeli).

The lesson was conducted by: Chuikova Kira Sergeevna and Goncharova Tatyana Anatolyevna - teachers of our college, as well as students of group 440 - Yulia Nikolaeva and Daria Ivanova. During the lesson, all steps of cooking the Kurnik pie were shown, from kneading yeast dough, baking pancakes and preparing different fillings to assembling the pie, baking and serving . Our teachers and students answered the questions of the Finnish participants, gave explanations to the operations performed.

The presentation prepared for the lesson introduced the history of the origin, the purpose of the Kurnik as a festive wedding cake, options for decorations, design and other interesting facts.

The master class was bright, interesting, and caused a lot of positive emotions.

At the end of the lesson, the participants tasted their pie and were very satisfied with the result.

We will continue our cooperation with ESEDU College next year, a master class on traditional Finnish cuisine is already planned for mid-January, which our colleagues from Finland will conduct for us.
