Despite the difficulties due to the restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the College of Tourism is actively developing cooperation with foreign professional organizations. On May 20, 2021, at the college on – line, the city scientific - practical conference "Open source vocational education as a factor in increasing the potential and quality of vocational education" (with international participation) was held

The conference was held in order to exchange scientific and practical experience of teachers and specialists on the issues of generalization and systematization of practical experience in VET, the creation of an information space for effective interaction between the subjects of VET.

Within the framework of the conference, the opportunity to present innovative experience and best practices of professional activity based on modern approaches in education and updating, the practical implementation of the ideas of professional standards, educational standards, World Skills standards, as well as creating conditions for improving the qualifications of teachers and replicating best practices on the topic of the conference

100 people took part in the conference: representatives of the Education Committee of St. Petersburg, SPB APPO, employers and teaching staff from 20 POU SPE St. Petersburg and our foreign colleagues and the republics of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The following greetings were sent to the conference: Dzhurakulov Shokhrukh Davronovich, Director of the Samarkand Technical School of Tourism and Service at the Samarkand International University of Tourism "Silk Way" (Republic of Uzbekistan) and Kaneshov Kaisar Seitkasymovich, Director of the Rudny Mining and Technology College (Republic of Kazakhstan) Shadibaev Ruslan Renatovich Tugalova Mohidil Toshpulatovna, master of vocational training of the Samarkand technical school of tourism and service, as well as Kaneshov Kaisar Seitkasymovich, director of the Rudny Mining and Technological College presented their posters and presentations. 

Summing up the results of the conference, the participants noted the importance of interaction with employers and improving the quality of vocational education, the benefits of exchange of experience and cooperation, the need to develop additional education and vocational training as important components of the concept of "modern college".
