Every year for six years, the Government of St. Petersburg implements the International Congress project "St. Petersburg and the Slavic world". This project is aimed to strengthen interregional cooperation with the countries of Eastern Europe and the Balkan Peninsula.

As part of the project, on November 20, 2019, a meeting of the International Congress participants "St. Petersburg and the Slavic World", headed by the Government , took place at the College of Tourism of St. Petersburg. The delegation included representatives of the Slavic states of Europe: Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, Northern Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro.

Svetlana Antonova, the Director of the College, presented to the guests information about College achievements, prospects of development, features of professional training. The participants of the delegation got acquainted with the material and technical base, training workshops, laboratories that provide training for the service sector.

During the visit, the representatives of the delegation expressed interest in further cooperation in the organization of joint activities in the training of professionals in the hospitality industry

On November 21, 2019, the Plenary meeting of the Congress was held at the Engineering and Technology School No. 777, where Svetlana Aleksandrovna Antonova presented a speech on the topic:” Teaching traditions and additional professional specialization for promotion of tourism development”, told about the possibilities of developing the tourism and hospitality industry in St. -Petersburg, college participation in international projects and the importance of international cooperation with the countries of the Slavic states.
