In accordance with the Memorandum signed with the Kouvola Regional Vocational College (KSAO) - coordinator of the network of 18 vocational schools in Finland , in April - May 2019 internships were organized for Finnish students at the enterprises of the College of Tourism social partners.

Two students - profession "Cook" , from the ESEDU Vocational College of the South Savo, practiced at the hotel "Ambassador" restaurant , from 08.04 to 19.05 and from 15.04 to 12.05 another two people trained at the hotel "Sokos". A student from the Finnish Professional College of Western Uusimaa “LUKSIA”, who studies in the specialty “Tourism” trained from 18.04 to 24.05 at the same place.

The practice was conducted under the guidance of experienced specialists of enterprises in accordance with the program agreed by the parties. Finnish students were very motivated, responsible, and performed the assigned work with pleasure. Their goodwill and openness helped them to join the work process and the team and adapt to the new environment quickly. For hotel staff, internship for Finnish students has become a good language practice and an opportunity to work in an international team.

Summing up the internship, the parties expressed their wishes to continue this work in the next academic year and interest in organizing internships for students studying in other professions in the hospitality industry.
