In accordance with Academical and Cultural Cooperation Agreement between College of Tourism (Saint Petersburg, Russia) and Savonlinna Vocational College (Savonlinna, Finland), a delegation of students and teachers from Savonlinna Vocational College visited the Tourism department of College of Tourism on April 11, 2017.

The acquaintance with students and teachers took place in the conference-hall, where students made a presentation about their college. Lipina Ksenia and Simanovskaja Anastasia, College of Tourism students, group 321, acquainted guests with the most interesting annual events taking place in the department, campus life, as well as disciplines being studied, qualities necessary for graduating students for the further working in the tourism sphere.

Students of Savonlinna Vocational College, in their turn, shared interesting facts about Finland useful for the tours presentation, and presented in detail the tourism opportunities of the city of Savonlinna.

A joint Technology of the Saint Petersburg guided tour business game in English organized by Vlasenko, D. M. and Gudkova A. P., College of Tourism teachers, was the next step of the meeting. Divided into 4 teams students actively interacted together, discussed and planned the route timing, considered the possibility of involving various attractions in the tour program and made 3-day tour presentation.

Lukina M. V. and Bessmertnova M. A., English teachers, organized a walking tour to the Peter and Paul fortress for the delegation in the second half of day. During the walking around the Peter and Paul fortress our students successfully acted as guides.

On the next day, April 12, a walking tour was organized by the Finnish students. The tour began from St. Isaac's Cathedral and it involved visiting of Saint Petersburg historic centre main sights. The route ended at the Palace Square. In the process of communication Finnish students got acquainted with Russian culture, traditions of Russian hospitality, and our students improved their knowledge of the English language.
