On April 21, 2014 our College was visited by the delegation of the Center of Professional education of Haapsalu. The meeting has taken place in the educational department.

As a part of delegation of the Center of Professional education of Haapsalu there have arrived 47 people - representatives of administration and pedagogical resources of experts in the sphere of tourism, hotel service, public catering, trade and construction.

The main goal of the visit was development of the international cooperation, discussion of the directions of interaction of educational institutions, and also exchange of experience in the area of improvement of quality of education. The meeting has begun with welcome speech of the principal of tourism of St. Petersburg S.A. Antonova, who has told the Estonian colleagues about our College, about competitive selection of the educational institutions of primary and secondary professional education introducing innovative educational programs within the priority of national Education project in which the College of tourism of St. Petersburg became the winner.

She informed about participation of College in public life of the city, about the international activity, about achievements of students.

E.Yu.Shevchenko, the deputy director of industrial practice work presented the activity of College , the head of the resource center G.N. Barysheva has told about the work of College as resource center.

A.V. Milanov , the deputy director of scientific and methodical work welcomed Estonian colleagues.

The director of the Center of Professional education of Haapsalu Ingrid Danilov has told about her educational establishment. The center of Professional education has been created in 2005. There are more than 800 students and about 100 teachers. The center of Professional education is the largest educational institution of training of specialists in the field of restaurant , hotel service and construction. Training of specialists is carried out in the following directions: tourism, information technologies, applied art and craft, social work and consultation, house services.

The guests have got acquainted with the organization of educational process of training of specialists, have visited the theoretical classes, workshops created within the priority national project "Education — 2009:

• the culinary and confectionery industrial practice workshop equipped with modern processing equipment and the system of video surveillance allowing to control work of students and in the subsequent to show successful and wrong actions them on the screen,
• laboratory of modern technologies of automation of the enterprises of food R-Keeper equipped with the system of automation of warehouse account, management of merchandising at the enterprises of small and medium business (restaurant, cafe, bar),
• the laboratory of quality control of food products supplied with the modern educational laboratory equipment for performance of work according to the quality of food products and production of catering establishments.

The guests have got acquainted with the organization of educational process of the « Yunost» hotel.

At the end of the meeting the Estonian colleagues have thanked the administration of College for an organized meeting and have suggested to develop practice of the international interesting and useful exchanges for both sides.
